Joshua

Hong Jisoo, professionally known as Joshua or Joshua Hong, is a vocalist and visual of SEVENTEEN. Born on December 30, 1995, in Los Angeles, California, to Korean parents, he grew up speaking both Korean and English fluently. He moved to South Korea during his teenage years to pursue an idol career at Pledis Entertainment, where he trained for approximately three years before SEVENTEEN's debut.

Joshua brings a distinctly global perspective to SEVENTEEN, often serving as the group's primary English-speaking communicator in international interviews and broadcasts. His vocal style is soft and precise, complementing the Vocal Unit's harmonies with a gentle warmth. His guitar skills — developed independently outside of his idol training — have become a beloved signature, and he frequently shares acoustic content that reveals a singer-songwriter side distinct from SEVENTEEN's high-energy performances.
