Seungmin

Seungmin, born Kim Seung-min on September 22, 2000 in Seoul, South Korea, is a vocalist and rapper of Stray Kids. Among the group's members, Seungmin occupies a distinctive vocal position: his clear, bright tenor quality provides a melodic anchor in Stray Kids' productions, offering harmonic lightness that balances the group's characteristically heavy bass and rap-heavy arrangements. This tonal purity has made him an essential component of the group's vocal blend.

Before joining Stray Kids, Seungmin attended the School of Performing Arts Seoul (SOPA), where he developed his vocal technique alongside his passion for music. He was reportedly approached by SM Entertainment as a potential trainee before ultimately choosing to train at JYP, a decision that placed him in the audition process for the Stray Kids survival reality show. He passed the evaluations and debuted with the group in March 2018.

Off stage, Seungmin is beloved for his warm personality, dry sense of humor, and passionate love of baseball. He is a dedicated supporter of the Doosan Bears and has thrown the ceremonial first pitch at professional games, a milestone he has spoken about with genuine excitement. His dog, "Dwaekki," has become a fan favorite in its own right, with Seungmin sharing his pet's antics regularly on social media.
