Jisoo

Kim Ji-soo, known mononymously as Jisoo, is a South Korean singer, actress, and the eldest member of BLACKPINK. Born on January 3, 1995, in Gunpo, Gyeonggi-do, she trained under YG Entertainment for five years before debuting with the group in August 2016.

Within BLACKPINK, Jisoo serves as the lead vocalist and visual. Her warm, stable vocal tone anchors the group's harmonies, and her expressive stage presence has made her a fan favorite since debut. She is known among fans for her cheerful personality, quick wit, and ability to lighten the mood during interviews and variety show appearances.

Beyond music, Jisoo has built a successful acting career. She starred as the female lead in the JTBC drama Snowdrop (2021-2022), earning praise for her portrayal of a college student caught in political turmoil during the 1987 democracy movement. She has also appeared in variety programs and served as a brand ambassador for Dior, becoming one of the most recognizable faces in global fashion.

As a solo artist, Jisoo released her debut single album ME in March 2023, featuring the lead single "Flower" which topped charts across Asia and showcased a softer, more melodic side of her artistry. Her second release, the mini album AMORTAGE, arrived in February 2025 with the title track "Earthquake."
