Meaning
"Lovesick Girls" is a pop-punk-influenced track about being addicted to love despite the pain it brings. The members describe themselves as "lovesick girls" who know love will hurt but chase it anyway. Notably, Jisoo and Jennie contributed to the songwriting, making it one of the first BLACKPINK songs with member credits. The retro-pop sound was a departure from their EDM-heavy title tracks.
