"LATATA" is (G)I-DLE's debut single and a moombahton-trap track expressing the intoxicating, impulsive feeling of falling in love. The "red light" imagery signals indulging in something forbidden and passionate, with the group declaring they are too consumed by emotion to worry about consequences. Soyeon drew the addictive chorus phonetically from a comedian's catchphrase while listening to Latin music.
